Every tabletop game ships with a rulebook. Most players never finish it. Dized turns rules into interactive, step-by-step tutorials - built with Playmore Games of Helsinki.
Web, Android, and iOS. React, React Native, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Built to scale to players worldwide.
Playmore Games is one of the leading tabletop gaming companies out of Helsinki, Finland. Their insight was simple: the barrier to playing a new game is not the game, it is the rules. New players open the box, see the rulebook, and the session stalls before it starts.
The mission was to build an interactive tutorial app that gets players into the game fast - no rulebook required - and lets gamers collaborate with friends and community. The challenge was not a single feature. It was a full product: tutorials, content management, commerce, video, and community, across web and native mobile.
We worked closely with the Playmore team to understand how players actually learn games, then built around that.
Step-by-step guided gameplay that replaces the rulebook with learning by doing.
A content system that lets the Playmore team create and update tutorials without touching code.
Commerce built in for premium games and content.
Rich media embedded in the learning experience.
Community features that keep players coming back.
Secure, scalable hosting for a global audience.
Dized launched as a real product, not a prototype - a working app with a CMS the client controls, commerce, and community features. For Playmore, it turned the rulebook problem into a growth feature: easier onboarding means more games played, more sessions, more engagement.
We do not publish client revenue numbers. What we can say: the product shipped, it scaled, and it is still the kind of work we are proud to point to.
The rulebook problem is still a wall of text. Today we would build an AI rules tutor on top of the tutorials - a player asks any rules question in plain language and gets the answer in seconds, grounded in the official rules. It would cut the last barrier to playing, and give Dized a feature no competitor could copy quickly.
